Οι Άγιοι Ναζάριος, Προτάσιος, Γερβάσιος και Κέλσιος οι Μάρτυρες

 

Οι   γονείς   του   Ναζαρίου  (Αφρικανός  και  Περπετούα)  λέγεται   ότι  υπήρξαν   μαθητές  του  Απ.  Πέτρου,  ο  οποίος  τους  είλκυσε  στην  χριστιανική   πίστη  και τους  βάπτισε.  Ο  γιος  τους  έμεινε  ορφανός  σε  νεαρή  ηλικία, μέσα σε  μία   διεφθαρμένη   κοινωνία.   Αλλά   ο   Ναζάριος είχε κληρονομήσει τις αρετές  των γονέων του.  Έμεινε  αγνός  και  άμεμπτος,  σύμφωνα  με  την  συμβουλή  του πνευματικού   του   πατέρα Απ. Πέτρου,   που   λέει:   «Τας   ψυχάς   υμών   ηγνικότες   εν    τη    υπακοή  της  αληθείας».  Οφείλετε, λέει   ο   Απ.  Πέτρος,   να    κάνετε   αγνές  και  καθαρές  τις   ψυχές   σας   από   κάθε   ακάθαρτο  πάθος   και    επιθυμία  και    κλίση,  με    την    υπακοή    σας    στην    αλήθεια    του   Ευαγγελίου.

Και  ο   Ναζάριος  όχι  μόνο  έμεινε  αγνός  μέσα  στο   διεφθαρμένο κοινωνικό   του   περιβάλλον,  αλλά  όταν  έγινε  20  χρονών   διαμοίρασε  τα    υπάρχοντά   του   στους   φτωχούς  και  άρχισε  περιοδείες, κηρύττοντας   το   Ευαγγέλιο    με  πολλή   καρποφορία.

Όταν πήγε στα Μεδιόλανα, συνάντησε δυο ευσεβείς  άνδρες,  τον  Προτάσιο    και   τον   Γερβάσιο.    Εκεί,    και    οι    τρεις  μαζί   δια    του θείου   λόγου   πέτυχαν   πολλές   κατακτήσεις.    Όχι   μόνο  από  τον  όχλο,   αλλά   και    από    τις    ανώτερες   κοινωνικές   τάξεις.

Κατόπιν    ο    Ναζάριος  πήγε  στην Γαλλία,  όπου  με  το  δίχτυ  του  λόγου   είχε   πολλές   επιτυχίες.    Μεταξύ  αυτών που  πίστεψαν,  ήταν  και    μία    νεαρή    ψυχή,   ο   Κέλσιος.   
Όταν ο   Ναζάριος επέστρεψε στα Μεδιόλανα, τον συνέλαβαν. Προηγουμένως  είχαν   συλλάβει   και   τους   Προτάσιο   και   Γερβάσιο.    Ο   έπαρχος    Αννουλίνος,  όταν   είδε    ότι    δεν    άλλαζαν   την   πίστη τους,   όλους,    μαζί   με    το    νεαρό    Κέλσιο,    τους    αποκεφάλισε.

Τετράριθμον   σύνταγμα,  των  Αθλητών  του  Χριστού, Ναζάριον  μέλψωμεν,   συν  Γερβασίω   ομού,   Προτάσιον   Κέλσιον·   ούτοι   γαρ   την Τριάδα,  ανεκήρυξαν   πάσι, λύσαντες   δι’ αγώνων,   την πολύθεον   πλάνην.   Αυτών    Χριστέ  ικεσίαις,   πάντας    ελέησον.

Μαρτύρων του Χριστού, τηv  τετράριθμον  δόξαv,  υμνήσωμεν   πιστοί, ευφημίαις  ασμάτωv,  Ναζάριοv   Προτάσιον,   και   Γερβάσιον   Κέλσιον· ούτοι   ήθλησαν   μέχρι  τομής  και   θανάτου·  ούτοι   στέφανον,   της αφθαρσίας   λαβόντες,    αιτούσι  σωθήναι    ημάς.

Φάλαγξ    των Μαρτύρων τετραμελής, τετράκρουνος   βρύσις,  των  ναμάτων  των   μυστικών,  Ναζάριε  Κελσίω,  μετά  του   Προτασίου,    και  Γερβασίου   άμα,   κόσμω  εδείχθητε.

Nazarius' parents (Africanus and Perpetua) are said to have been disciples of the Apostle Peter, who attracted them to the Christian faith and baptized them. Their son was orphaned at a young age in a corrupt society. But Nazarius had inherited the virtues of his parents. He remained pure and blameless, according to the advice of his spiritual father Apostle Peter, who says: "Pure your souls in obedience to the truth." You must, says the Apostle Peter, make your souls pure and clean from every impure passion and desire and inclination, by your obedience to the truth of the Gospel.

And Nazarius not only remained pure in his corrupt social environment, but when he was 20 years old he distributed his possessions to the poor and began traveling, preaching the Gospel with much fruit.

When he went to Milan, he met two pious men, Protasius and Gervasius. There, all three together through the divine word achieved many conquests. Not only from the mob, but also from the upper social classes.

Then Nazarios went to France, where with the net of speech he had many successes. Among those who believed, was a young soul, Kelsios.

When Nazarios returned to Milan, he was arrested. Previously they had also arrested Protasius and Gervasius. The prefect Annulinus, when he saw that they did not change their faith, beheaded them all, together with the young Kelsius.
