Ανακομιδή και Κατάθεσις του Λειψάνου του Αγίου και Δικαίου Λαζάρου

 

Όπως    γνωρίζουμε  από  την  Καινή  Διαθήκη  ήταν  ο  φίλος  του  Χριστού    και   τον   οποίο    ανάστησε    (βλέπε  Κυριακή   των   Βαΐων).

Αυτός    λοιπόν   πήγε   στην   Κύπρο,   όπου   χειροτονήθηκε   από   τους Αγίους    Αποστόλους,  επίσκοπος  Κιτίου  και  δίδασκε τον  λόγο  του  Θεού.    Αφού  επί πολλά χρόνια ποίμανε θεάρεστα το ποίμνιο του Χριστού,   απεβίωσε   ειρηνικά,   κάνοντας   πολλά   θαύματα.
Μετά   από   πολλά  χρόνια,   το    890,   ο   αυτοκράτορας   του    Βυζαντίου Λέων   ο  ΣΤ’,  αφού  έκτισε μεγαλόπρεπο  Ναό  και  Μοναστήρι  στο  όνομα  του Αγίου  και Δικαίου  Λαζάρου,  έδωσε  διαταγή  και  ανακομίστηκε  το  ιερό λείψανο  του Αγίου,  από   την   πόλη   των Κιτιαίων,  στον   προαναφερθέντα   Ναό    στην   Κωνσταντινούπολη.

Απολυτίκιον.  Ήχος    δ’. Ταχύ  προκατάλαβε.       
Ως  φίλον  σε  γνήσιον,  και   Ιεράρχην   σοφόν,  Χριστού  του Παντάνακτος,  ανευφημούμεν  πιστώς,  θεόληπτε  Λάζαρε·   σε   γαρ    από  του  τάφου,   ήγειρε  τεταρταίον,   ώσπερ  αμέμπτω   βίω,    ιεράτευσας    μάκαρ· και νυν απαύστως πρέσβευε,   υπέρ  των  ψυχών  ημών.

Κοντάκιον. Ήχος    πλ. δ’.   Τη    υπερμάχω.

Ώσπερ    οικείος   του    Χριστού    και   φίλος    γνήσιος

Από    του    τάφου    εξηγέρθεις   τετραήμερος

Τω    κελεύσματι    Κυρίου   τω    ζωηφόρω.

Αλλ’    ως    βήματι    τω   θείω   παριστάμενος

Καθικέτευε   λυτρούσθαι   πάσης   θλίψεως  
Τους    βοώντάς    σοι,   χαίροις    Άγιε  Λάζαρε.

Μεγαλυνάριον.
Νεκρόν   τεταρταίόν  σε   ο   Χριστός,  ήγειρεν  εκ τάφου,  οία   φίλον ειλικρινή· ένθεν  Ιεράρχης, εδείχθης  θεοφόρος,  και   πρόεδρος Κιτίου, Λάζαρε   ένδοξε.

As we know from the New Testament, he was Christ's friend and whom he resurrected (see Palm Sunday).

So he went to Cyprus, where he was ordained by the Holy Apostles, bishop of Kiti and taught the word of God. After shepherding Christ's flock for many years, he died peacefully, performing many miracles.

After many years, in 890, the emperor of Byzantium Leo VI, after building a magnificent Church and Monastery in the name of Saint and Righteous Lazarus, gave an order and the holy relic of the Saint was recovered, from the city of Kitiaia, in the aforementioned Temple to Constantinople.

As a true friend, and as a wise Hierarch, Christ of the Almighty, we are faithfully cheered, God-loving Lazarus; for from the grave, raise up a quarter, until I live blameless, blessed priestess; and now he was faithfully interceding, in favor of our souls.
