Οι Αγίες Αλεξανδρία, Ευφρασία, Θεοδότη, Ιουλία, Κλαυδία, Ματρώνα, Τεκούσα και Φαεινή οι Παρθενομάρτυρες

 

Οι     Αγίες    Μάρτυρες    Αλεξανδρία   ή    Αλεξάνδρα,   Ευφρασία,   Θεοδότη,  Ιουλία,   Κλαυδία,    Τεκούσα    και    Φαεινή    κατάγονταν    από   την    Άγκυρα  της    Γαλατίας   και    άθλησαν    στην    Άγκυρα   το   304    μ.Χ.,    κατά    τους  χρόνους    του    αυτοκράτορος     Μαξιμιανού    (285 – 305    μ.Χ.).    Ασχολούμενες  με    έργα    ελέους    και   φιλανθρωπίας   και    με   την    διδασκαλία  του  Ευαγγελίου   και    την    κατήχηση    ειδωλολατρισσών γυναικών,  συνελήφθησαν    και    φυλακίσθηκαν.    Ανακρινόμενες   ομολόγησαν    τον Χριστό,   επειδή   δε   αρνήθηκαν   να   θυσιάσουν    στα    είδωλα,   παραδόθηκαν  στους    στρατιώτες   προς    ατίμωση.    Αφού    εξήλθαν    από    την    δοκιμασία  αυτή,    με    τη   Θεία   Χάρη,  αγνές  και  υπέστησαν  πλείστα  άλλα  βασανιστήρια,  ρίχθηκαν  τέλος   στη     λίμνη,    όπου    έλαβαν    το    στέφανο  του   μαρτυρίου.

 

Saints Alexandria, Euphrates, Theodotius, Julia, Claudia, Matrona, Tecusa and Faine the Martyrs

 

 

The Holy Martyrs Alexandria or Alexandra, Euphrates, Theodotius, Iulia, Claudia, Tecusa and Faine came from Ankara of Galatia and trained in Ankara in 304 AD during the reign of Emperor Maximian (285-305 AD). . Engaged in charity and charity work and in the teaching of the Gospel and the indoctrination of pagan women, they were arrested and imprisoned. The interrogators confessed to Christ, because they refused to sacrifice to idols, they surrendered to the soldiers for reproach. Having come out of this ordeal, with the Divine Grace, pure and subjected to many other tortures, they were finally thrown into the lake, where they received the martyr's crown.
