Ο Όσιος Δαμιανός εκ Γεωργίας

 Ο    Όσιος    Δαμιανὸς,    κατά    κόσμον    Δημήτριος,   ήταν   βασιλέας    των    Γεωργιανών (1125)    και    υιός   του   βασιλέα    Δαβίδ   Β’   του    Ισχυρού     ή   Επανορθωτού   (1089 – 1124). Έζησε    κατά   τον   11^ο   και   12^ο   αιώνα    μ.Χ.   και,   αφού     εγκατέλειψε   την    κοσμική εξουσία,    έγινε   μοναχός,   λαμβάνοντας   το   όνομα   Δαμιανός.     
Κοιμήθηκε   με    ειρήνη    το    1156.

Saint Damian from Georgia

  Saint Damian, according to the world, Demetrius, was king of the Georgians (1125) and son of King David II of the Mighty or Restored (1089 - 1124). He lived during the 11th and 12th centuries AD. and, after leaving the secular power, he became a monk, taking the name Damianos.

He slept peacefully in 1156.
